1. Use the Services lawfully

You must comply with all laws that apply to you and your business, including privacy and data-protection, consumer-protection, anti-spam, tax, labor, anti-money-laundering, export-control and intellectual-property laws.

2. Prohibited content

You may not use the Services to store, send or sign content that:

  • is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or infringes intellectual-property, privacy or other rights;
  • contains malware, phishing pages or code designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems;
  • exploits or harms minors, promotes violence or terrorism, or constitutes harassment or hate speech;
  • includes sensitive personal data (health, biometric, financial account credentials, etc.) without a valid legal basis and adequate safeguards;
  • uses forged documents or impersonates another person or organization, including in electronic-signature envelopes.

3. Prohibited activities

  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages, including through document-signature or notification emails.
  • Accessing or attempting to access another customer’s account or data, or bypassing tenant isolation, plan limits, permissions or other technical restrictions.
  • Scanning, probing, load-testing or penetration-testing the Services without our prior written authorization. Report vulnerabilities responsibly to [email protected].
  • Interfering with the Services, overloading them (for example with automated requests beyond normal use) or using them to attack third parties.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling or copying the software, except to the extent the law expressly allows it.
  • Reselling, renting or sublicensing access without a written agreement with us, or sharing a single user’s credentials among several people.
  • Using the Services to build a competing product, or scraping them.

4. Electronic signatures

Only send documents for signature to people who expect them and are entitled to sign. Use access codes for sensitive documents, verify signers’ identity as your process requires, and do not use BitOne for documents that legally require a handwritten, notarized, qualified or advanced signature.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and, depending on severity, remove content, suspend users or accounts, or terminate the Services, with notice where reasonable. We may report illegal activity to the competent authorities. You remain responsible for your Authorized Users’ compliance with this policy.

6. Report abuse

Report suspected abuse or security issues to [email protected] with as much detail as possible.
